I started my law practice in 1985. I have tried cases in most Maryland courts in the Baltimore- Washington area, and now practice primarily in my home county of Carroll County, Maryland, and those counties bordering Carroll County, including Baltimore, Howard, and Frederick Counties. As an experienced litigator, I will help you achieve fair and equitable results in your Family Law cases, either through the negotiation or through litigation, in the areas of divorce, child custody and support, child access, alimony, and the division of marital property.
As a litigator, I have extensive court trial and jury trial experience in civil and criminal cases, including divorce, separation and child custody, and in criminal cases involving felonies, misdemeanors and DUI/DWI. I will fight to protect your rights.
In the course of my career, I have regularly attended continuing legal education to keep abreast of new laws and new court decisions. This knowledge of the laws and the courts allows me to provide my client's with more effective and efficient representation.
As a mediator trained by the Maryland Institutue for the Continuing Professional Education for Lawyers, I have gained extensive knowledge enabling me to mediate disputes involving Family Law matters such as divorce, child custody and support, child access. alimony and the division of marital property. Practicing as both a private mediator and as a court appointed mediator for Family Law cases in Carroll County, Maryland, I have extensive experience conducting hundreds of mediations. Additionally, I am a member of the Maryland Program for Mediator Excellence and regularly attend continuing education seminars. Many people and lawyers who hold themselves out as mediators have recievied no training or continuing education in this field. Anyone can hold themselves out as a mediator.
